Gold Collection (All Tracks Remastered 2013). The Platters were a successful black vocal group of the early rock n roll era. Their distinctive sound was a bridge between the pre-rock n roll Tin Pan Alley tradition of the Ink Spots and the Mills Brothers and the explosion of teenage music in the mid 1950s. The most successful incarnation of the group comprised lead tenor Tony Williams, David Lynch, Paul Robi, Herb Reed, and Zola Taylor. The Platters formed in Los Angeles, CA, USA in 1953 and were initially managed by Ralph Bass.

To Each His Own" written by Jay Livingston and Ray Evans, was originally a hit in 1946 for Eddy Howard and The Ink Spots. The Platters released their version on Mercury Records in October 1960 reaching on the Billboard Pop Chart. The song was included on their compilation album, More Encore of Golden Hits. The song can be found on the CD box set The Magic Touch Platters Anthology on the PolyGram label. I do not own the right to the song, audio, or images contained in this video.

Artist: The Platters. Album: Miscellaneous. And a dream must be a dream for two No good alone, to each his own For me there's you. If a flame is to grow there must be a glow To open each door there's a key I need you, I know, I can't let you go Your touch means too much to me. Two lips must insist on two more to be kissed Or they'll never know what love can do To each his own, I've found my own One and only you.

Lyrics to "To Each His Own" song by The Platters: A rose must remain with the sun and the rain Or its lovely promise won't come true To each his own . Two lips must insist on two more to be kissed Or they'll never know what love can do To each his own, I've found my own One and only yo. .
