We're counting down all of Jethro Tull's albums, from the worst to the best. Whether or not you consider yourself a fan of Jethro Tull, no one can deny that Ian Anderson’s long-running musical institution has notched one of the most unique, inimitable and unmistakable discographies in the classic rock canon. Combining folk, medieval music, hard rock, metal, blues, jazz and classical, Tull’s albums have defied categorization almost from day one.

Jethro Tull's 21 albums have taken in English folk and baroque instrumentation, plus thunderous riffs to keep hard rock fans happy. Here are 10 of their best moments. No-one sounds like Jethro Tull. For a band that have prospered for almost as long as some of the genres they occupy have existed, they are without imitators. Their twenty-one studio records have taken in English folk and baroque instrumentation, plus the thunderous and unforgettable riffs of Martin Barre that saw them edge Metallica and AC/DC out of a Grammy for best Hard Rock band. So it’s a daunting yet thoroughly pleasurable task, to rank a body of work like no othe. 1) The Jethro Tull Christmas Album (2003).

Jethro Tull is one of the best classic rock bands. They originally came on the scene as a blues rock band, but transitioned to progressive rock throughout their career, while relaseing a series of awesome hard rock albums. Perhaps some could even be considered the best albums of all time. This Jethro Tull discography is ranked from best to worst, so the top Jethro Tull albums can be found at the top of the list.

The ironic thing is, this Tull collection is no different than those that preceded it, except that perhaps maximum disc space was utilized here, as it's comprised of 20 tracks and 78 minutes of music. There's nothing new here for avid Jethro Tull fans, and curious potential fans have at least a dozen other retrospectives to choose from.

The Best of Jethro Tull – The Anniversary Collection. The Best Of Jethro Tull - The Anniversary Collection is a greatest hits album by Jethro Tull, released in 1993. It includes some of the band's biggest hits from 1968 to 1991. A Song for Jeffrey" - 3:19. Beggar's Farm" - 4:19. A Christmas Song" - 3:07. A New Day Yesterday" - 4:09. Bourée" (Instrumental) - 3:46. Nothing Is Easy" - 4:23. Living in the Past" - 3:21. To Cry You a Song" - 6:15.

There is something on every Jethro Tull album which makes it worth hearing, but these four albums are those which I feel is their best work. Living In The Past gets a few more points for its variety, but it’s hard to choose a best album from these. They give a greater overview of what Jethro Tull were like in their prime more so though than just the Aqualung album. Unfortunately many only know Jethro Tull from the Aqualung album. Kind of like Fleetwood Mac & their Rumours album. Do you mean which is regarded as their best album by general consensus? Not sur. qualung is definitely their most well-known album, and it, Stand Up, and Songs From the Wood seems to be their most albums.
