Real Name: Mariana Dorothy Agnes Letitia McNulty. Blondie Radio Show, Penny Singleton, Arthur Lake - Original Radio Shows ‎(LP). Yorkshir Records, Yorkshir.

The two major roles were Penny Singleton as Blondie and Arthur Lake (whose first starring role was another comic strip character, Harold Teen) as Dagwood. Faithfulness to the comic strip was a major concern of the creators of the series. Little touches were added that were iconic to the strip, like the appearance of Dagwood's famous sandwiches-and the running gag of Dagwood colliding with the mailman amid a flurry of letters, which preceded the title sequence in almost every film. Blondie and Dagwood in Footlight Folly (1947) Dell (An original paperback novel, not illustrated. Unnumbered, but usually considered part of Dell's mapback series). Blondie's Family (1954) Treasure/Wonder Book (a full-color storybook for children). Library of Congress: Blondie Gets Married! exhibition. Blondie and Dagwood Radio Shows on Outlaws Old Time Radio.

Starring: Penny Singleton, Arthur Lake. Runtime: 1 hour, 14 minutes. Will a lawyer talk to Blondie and change her mind? The radio brings news about that trout club. The film ends with Dagwood's famous mad dash out of his house. Some people are always running late.

OTR usually means radio broadcasting from the golden age of radio, mostly before 1964 At Home With The Kirkwoods Jack Kirkwood Barnaby.

Blondie Meets The Boss - Penny Singleton, Arthur Lake.

Penny Singleton was known primarily for her starring roles as the much-loved screen incarnation of the dizzy comic-strip heroine Blondie, but she had a long and varied career in show business as an actress, singer and dancer. Blondie may have been scatterbrained but Singleton herself was extremely bright, and later she became a leading political figure heavily involved in union activities. Billed as Dorothy McNulty during her early career, she was in the original cast of the hit stage musical Good News (1927) and many years later returned to Broadway when she took over from Ruby Keeler as leading lady in the revival of No, No, Nanette (1971). Later generations came to know her as the voice of Jane Jetson in the cartoon shows about a futuristic family The Jetsons. We’ll tell you what’s true. Penny Singleton saved the day for me. I was supposed to be down in the picture and she was so up.
