Blindside is the debut album by Swedish Christian rock band Blindside, released on Solid State Records in 1997. It was re-released by DRT Entertainment on May 10, 2005 with four unreleased demo tracks. 2005 re-release bonus tracks.

Blindside is a post-hardcore band from Stockholm, formed in 1994 as "Underfree" and kept that name for two years before releasing debut EP in 1996. The first self-titled album was released in 1997 and had quite a raw, punk rock feel and was well-received by fans of . In 1999, was released second album, A Thought Crushed My Mind, which explored a harsher, more hardcore side than the band's debut. In 2002, Blindside released their most known album, Silence. In 2005, Blindside re-released first two albums, released DVD, and a new album, The Great Depression, showcased the band’s experimenting with multiple new genres and guests vocalists. Two years later Blindside independently released The Black Rose EP, but then they ceased most band activity until 2011, when they released With Shivering Hearts We Wait, their latest album at the moment. 1997 - Blindside (Original Release).

Blindside is a Christian rock band from the southern suburbs of Stockholm, Sweden. They formed in Stockholm in 1994 as Underfree In 1996 they changed their name to blindside and released the Blindside album in 1997 through Swedish independent record company Day-Glo Records. Another album, A Thought Crushed My Mind, came out in 2000. The group received greater attention in 2001 when they toured with . resulting in a contract with Elektra. In 2002 they released the album Silence and in 2003 they toured in support of Hoobastank. The Great Depression is the fifth album from post-hardcore band Blindside. It is their first album for DRT Entertainment. The album was largely influenced by a trip to Africa that their lead singer, Christian, had undertaken. He was very unsettled by his experience and the things he saw influenced the album immensely. The song "Yemkela" was written about a young African boy he met on his trip. The boy had HIV and had less than two months to live.
