The Best Years of Our Lives is the third studio album by Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel, released in 1975. The album contains the band's only UK number one, the million-selling "Make Me Smile (Come Up and See Me)". The album was produced by Harley and Alan Parsons.

These Are The Days Of Our Lives.
Mudhoney's "War in Peace" and Outrageous Cherry's "Keep It All Under Your Hat" deliver straight-up garage-psych, while the Durocs "Margaret Tiger-Rug" and the Ophelias' "Lawrence of Euphoria" explore the vaudevillian side of psychedelia. Flying Saucer Attack and Alistair Galbraith deliver two of the most darkly acid-tinged tracks on the album, "Grey-Afro" and "This Time He Has Come;" the Minus 5's "Doodle" and Diesel Park West's "All Come yo Meet Her" the sunnier side of psychedelia.
The title of Warhaus’ debut album, We Fucked A Flame Into Being (a direct quote from Lady Chatterley's Lover by DH Lawrence), was "too good to pass on! declares Devoldere. It is indeed a fitting title for an album where every song celebrates the inscrutability of encounters and pays tribute to the decadence and intensity that life can offer
Tribute was released as the lead single off their self-titled debut album. The song plays out as a tribute to the actual best song in the world that the D have forgotten what sounded like. It is one of, if not the most recognizable song by Tenacious D. In an interview with JimmyO, Kyle and Jack said that the inspiration from the song came after Jack played Metallica’s One for Kyle. However, the lyrics make clear that Tribute sounds nothing like the song they came up with to please the demon. Some people think that Tribute is a tribute to the song Beelzeboss (The Final Showdown), which they played in the rock-off challenge between Satan and Tenacious D in their movie Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny. After defeating Satan, Jack and Kyle recall the incident once more, describing it as, the greatest song in the world. Unfortunately, they are unable to remember how it went.
