2. You Came You Saw You Conquered. 3. The Greatest Love. Also compressed & aggressive track. I just compared it with another version (the best I own at the moment) on release Jesse Green - The Best Of Jesse Green. Reply Notify me Helpful.

Locksley Alphonso Green, aka JESSE GREEN, was a Jamaican singer and t who spanned the genres from Reggae through to Disco during his well respected career. Growing up in the St. James parish of the famed island Green became enthralled with the music he heard from the various sound systems in the area, in particular the sound system headed by Count Barrett. During the 60's Green sang vocals with Jamaican band The Pioneers and in the 70's toured internationally with the great Jimmy Cliff as his drummer before embarking on a solo career in 1976.

Not to be confused with the jazz pianist of the same name, singer and t Jesse Green sang with Jamaican group the Pioneers and toured internationally as a drummer with Jimmy Cliff prior to scoring solo in 1976 with the international disco hit "Nice and Slow. Listeners won't be able to get a full feel for his musical background from the occasionally routine disco tracks found on this 1992 compilation by Unidisc

Tracks 1 to 12 are the JESSE GREEN album "Nice And Slow" - originally released in Canada on Red Bus Tempo Records LRBTS-1 - subsequently released in the UK on EMI Records EMC 3164 in February 1977. Tracks 13 to 17 are BONUS CUTS - Flip (Alternate Version), Don't Knock My Love (Alternate Version), Don't Let Me Down (Alternate Version), Nice And Slow (12" Disco Version) and Flip (12" Disco Version). Originally a Vocalist with the 60's Jamaican band The Pioneers - Jesse Green toured with Jimmy Cliff as a Drummer in the early Seventies before he latched onto the Disco fever of 1975 and 1976 for his solo debut. Outside of the two hits are nice smoochers like "Highwaves Of The Sea" while "Let's Get It On" could have been another seven-inch fast-paced stepper. And "Don't Let Me Down" is the Disco hit that never was. But the album belongs to the title track.
