LP (12" album, 33 rpm). This landmark album, recorded by the inimitable Rudy Van Gelder, captures the cool, thoughtful sound of the Modern Jazz Quartet at their best and is an absolute MUST-HAVE on vinyl for all manner of jazz listeners. 1. Ralph's New Blues (Album Version).

The Modern Jazz Quartet. After issuing 10" EPs for several years, Concorde (1955) marked two significant touchstones in the five-plus-decade career of the Modern Jazz Quartet (MJQ). One of those was the replacement of co-founder Kenny Clarke (drums) with former Lester Young quintet member Connie Kay (drums), who joined in time for the other hallmark - this, the MJQ's very first full-length long-player.

Concorde marked the first full-length album from The Modern Jazz Quartet while Django consists of tracks recorded at sessions over a three-year period and originally issued on a pair of 10-inch vinyl records. 48 kHz, 24-bit PCM – Jube Legends Studio Masters. This album is a high-resolution digital transfer of material originating from an analogue recording.
