With its Collection QB, the Quatuor Bozzini gives life to the diverse aesthetics of our time. The music in this collection forms a continuous line: without imposing an aesthetic stance, these discs follow a deep yet ineffable continuity of purpose. The first in the Canadian Composers Series of CDs is a double album of chamber works by Linda Catlin Smith, who was born in New York, but studied in Canada and has lived in Toronto for over 25 year. hants et danse. ith Strings! Ernst Carl Julius Albrecht (29 June 1930 in Heidelberg – 13 December 2014 in Burgdorf) was a German politician of the Christian Democratic Union and a former high-ranking European civil servant. He was one of the first European civil servants appointed in 1958 and served as Director-General of the Directorate-General for Competition from 1967 to 1970. He served as Prime Minister of the state of Lower Saxony from 1976 to 1990. He was the father of the politician Ursula von der Leyen.
ERNSTALBRECHT STIEBLER (born march 29th 1934) is one of the first German composers involved with minimalism and ranks among the pioneers of reductive, repetitive, sound-oriented music. Although honored with several prizes (. the Bach-Preis der Freien und Hansestadt Hamburg ), up to the current day only true connoisseurs of contemporary music are familiar with his oeuvre.
Ernstalbrecht Stiebler (born 29 March 1934 in Berlin) is a German composer of mostly chamber, choral, piano, and organ works. His work has "three principal concerns: sonority, rhythm, and duration" leading "to a large and varied body of work". Stiebler studied composition and piano at the Musikhochschule Hamburg, but had more important lessons at Darmstadt between 1958 and 1961, including studies with Karlheinz Stockhausen in 1959.
