Love And Theft" (generally referred to as Love and Theft) is the 31st studio album by American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan, released on September 11, 2001, by Columbia Records. It featured backing by his touring band of the time, with keyboardist Augie Meyers added for the sessions. It peaked at on the Billboard 200, and has been certified Gold by the RIAA.

Bob Dylan's 1974 album, Blood on the Tracks, reminded the world that Dylan was a songwriter without peer. On his next album, he decided to experiment by taking on a co-writer, theater director Jacques Levy. While the songs on Blood on the Tracks were highly personal, these new songs were largely about characters, both real and imagined. The album ends with "Sara," an extremely moving tribute to Dylan's long-suffering wife. The album is also notable for the work of violinist Scarlet Rivera. It's hard to imagine what the album would sound like without her playing, yet she was only invited to the sessions when Dylan spotted her walking down the street with a violin case. He invited her into his car and the rest is history.

Bob reunited with his old pals from The Band (also known as The Hawks) in 1973 to record a new album: Planet Waves. com for the pictures and bjorner. com for the informations. The first picture is the cover of the bootleg Love Songs For America, since we don't have a poster for it. My next videos will be a selection of 1974 shows and your requests.

The album that started my love of Dylan's music. So many amazing lyrics. My favourite Bob Dylan album. The most underrated of Dylan's albums. A work of dazzling emotional complexity. Always loved this one. I don't understand why it isn't more highly regarded. 14 The Bootleg Series Vol. 4: Bob Dylan Live 1966, the "Royal Albert Hall" Concert. Feels like I'm right there in the bar listening to Dylan and his band play in the corner. I can almost hear the low voices talking around me and glasses clanking, and smell the smokey haze of cigarettes. Far, far better than the ultra bland Time Out Of Mind if you only consider the "comeback" records. These tunes have staying power even if they are borrowed and the band is great, if understated.

The songs indicated that Dylan's songwriting had undergone a metamorphosis, becoming streamlined and more direct. The Band supported Dylan on Planet Waves and its accompanying tour, which became the most successful tour in rock & roll history; it was captured on 1974's double-live album Before the Flood. Dylan's 1974 tour was the beginning of a comeback culminated by 1975's Blood on the Tracks. Another album of original material, Love and Theft, followed in 2001. Soon after its release, Dylan announced that he was making his own film, to star Jeff Bridges, Penelope Cruz, John Goodman, Val Kilmer, and many more. The accompanying soundtrack, Masked and Anonymous, was released in July 2003.

The Best Bob Dylan Songs List 1970's defines Bob Dylan continuing to be the most influential single artist of his generation. While the production of the album has also came into the question, there is no doubt that Dylan’s Is Your Love in Vain, was one of his strongest ballads to date regardless of what many have termed sexist lyrics. Take it as you want, because It’s always about interpretation. But that melody and chord changes helped deliver one of the Best Bob Dylan Songs of the 1970’s. 5 – You Ain’t Goin Nowhere (The Basement Tapes). Bob Dylan’s album, Bob Dylan and the Band: The Basement Tapes was released on June 26, 1975. The song was recorded with the members of The Band backing Bob Dylan on the track. Along with Knockin’ on Heavens Door, Bob Dylan’s Forever Young, was of his most covered songs. It did not even take long for artists to begin covering the song.
