Woodstock Two is the second live album released of the 1969 Woodstock Festival concert. The two-LP set contains more material from many acts featured on the first Woodstock album with additional performances from Mountain and Melanie. Woodstock Two was originally released in 1971 as a double LP set and was re-released as a double CD in 1994

Woodstock 1999 is a two-disc set that documents the Woodstock 1999 festival. It was released during October 1999, nearly three months after the event took place. The album was released on Epic Records. The set features one song from each of 32 performing artists. It also features the recording of the speech given when the fires got out of hand and the Red Hot Chili Peppers performance was paused on the last day of the festival, on the track "Interlude" (Disc one, number 16).

This second Woodstock album has a tamer sound than the first, with a lot of acoustic, folk, ballads, and blues pieces. Hendrix's pieces are possibly an exception, but those are all long and relatively uninteresting jams. Melanie sings her heart out on "Birthday of the Sun," although some might object to her strained voice. I actually prefer this live version of "Marrakesh Express" to the studio version with organ that sounds overly slick. This album is a must if you're trying to sustain that magical feeling of those 3 days of muddy fun and music. This completed the one-two punch of documenting the Woodstock Festival on record. Released on two discs in 1971, this collection was meant to serve as a highly anticipated follow-up to it's 1970 predecessor.

Woodstock 1969 was a reaction by the youth of its time and the conditions we faced, says Woodstock co-founder Michael Lang. We proved that it is possible to live together in harmony and with compassio. ith only our best selves represented. Woodstock gave people around the world hope, which is why I think it remains relevant today. Explore the history of Woodstock. And come make history with us. Again.

Three-Day Woodstock Festival From Original Organizer Coming This Summer. Woodstock ’99 was just a musical experience with no social significance, Michael Lang says of Woodstock 50. With this one, we’re going back to our roots and our original intent. Santana perform at the Woodstock Music Festival in 1969. Organizer Michael Lang will stage a three-day 50th anniversary festival this summer in Watkins Glen, New York. Bill Eppridge/The LIFE Picture Collection/Getty Images. After months of rumors, Woodstock co-creator Michael Lang has confirmed to Rolling Stone that a three-day festival honoring the 50th anniversary of the original event is coming to Watkins Glen, New York on August 16th, 17th and 18th.
