Junkyard is the third studio album by Australian post-punk group The Birthday Party. It has received critical acclaim. Junkyard was inspired by American Southern Gothic imagery, dealing with extreme subjects like an evangelist's murdered daughter. Nick Cave's then-girlfriend Anita Lane co-wrote with him on two songs, "Dead Joe" and "Kiss me Black".

Junkyard is a band from the late 80’s that I like a lot. Fun fact: guitarist Brian Baker was also a member of Minor Threat and Bad Religion. All the Time in the World is on my summer playlist and is a song I play every year on the last day of school for teachers: Ain’t no reason to wait for the weekend ‘cause every day is Saturday night. Rubin Produced The Word/Sardines record, from JunkYard Band, who’re from the home corner of my hometown, Barry Farms in South East Washington DC. d-pi.
