However, the collective featured in this album - and Ranglin (a reggae and ska rhythm innovator) is a chief among them - plays 55 minutes of island tree-swaying, soul-backed precision. In fact, there is only one brief drum solo by Muhammad on Below the Bassline, and it is the first thing you hear.

Sold one copy ( and left the other one for myself ) in April 2016 for € 80.00 and this I found to be the maximum price for it.But, het, who am I if people are asking absorbitant prices and other ones are willing to pay it ?

You can still find the great four track Island Jamaica Jazz promo 12" EP for c. $25.00. (Includes 50% of the tracks from album!) ... A repress of the album on vinyl would be a no-brainer!

Beazezius
Link please? And here are some additional words for meeting discogs policy.

Picked this up on vinyl when it first came out. Can't believe how much it's asking for now. Very good album and a rare gem of reggae fused with hints of jazz.

A group of great musicians and friends, playing and enjoying some of the best known Jamaican rhythms/songs.Warm and wonderful...just get it, no questions asked.5/5Note: Deserves a 45 rpm vinyl re-release, the sound on it, is too THIN for such a GREAT record.
