Here is What Is, the remarkable sixth solo album from Daniel Lanois, strikes a chord for independence as the first major release on his own Red Floor Records. An acclaimed oducer known for producing some of the greatest albums of the last two decades (U2, Bob Dylan, Brian Eno, Peter Gabriel, Emmylou Harris, The Neville Brothers, to name a few), Daniel Lanois has created an album full of viscerally powerful and beautiful new tracks that rank amongst his best

Here Is What Is is the fifth studio album by Canadian songwriter and record producer Daniel Lanois. It was first released in December 2007 as a high-quality download, and later released on CD on March 18, 2008. The album is the result of the same project that led to the 2007 documentary "Here Is What Is" that premiered at the 2007 Toronto International Film Festival in September. The movie documents the aesthetics and creative process behind Lanois' approach to music making and recording.

Daniel Roland Lanois CM (/lænˈwɑː/ lan-WAH; born September 19, 1951) is a Canadian record producer, guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter. Lanois has released several albums of his own work. Although Daniel Lanois' production and engineering wizardry have secured his place in the musical hall of fame, his own debut album Acadie (Warner Bros. 1989) revealed another talent-songwriting. The album is about as perfect a debut as an artist could hope for, containing every single aspect of what makes Lanois so special, presenting him as both a fertile author and a gifted musician. In the late 1980s, Lanois moved to New Orleans, where he bought a house that he eventually turned into Kingsway Studios.

Eno reunites with brother, Roger and Daniel Lanois on 11 new tracks accompanying the seminal remastered album. On 2LP gatefold vinyl, limited numbered 2CD with hardcover book, + standard 2CD. Enoshop and uDiscover each have 250 copies of a free limited ‘Apollo’ A2 print for vinyl and limited CD versions. 15 May at 08:18 ·. See all.

Album Here Is What Is. Not Fighting Anymore Lyrics. I'm not fighting any more I’m going to let it all slide I'm going to let it run down To my knees and my feet. Going to give it all away Know what they say 'Cause I know not alone I’m not fighting any more. You can have what's left Of this record frame You can have what's left Of this used up chain. I'm not fighting any more Going to let it all go The melting of a man Like the sun on the snow. 3. Here Is What Is. 4. Not Fighting Anymore.

The name Daniel Lanois has appeared in these pages many times over the last few years. Via engineering and production work with Brian Eno, Peter Gabriel, Robbie Robertson and U2, Lanois has unmistakenly imprinted his personality on the sound of the Eighties. The album's music is addictive, ever giving rise to filmic visions with Bob's meandering lyrics feeding it with just the right narrative. It was hardly surprising that amidst all this flurry of creative activity Lanois should get into his own music. Loads of compression was used to get the widescreen sound here. A waltz-like tempo is maintained throughout and Lanois' voice feels comfortably at home among the electronic electricity.
