Bob Dylan is the debut studio album by American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan, released on March 19, 1962 by Columbia Records. Produced by Columbia's legendary talent scout John H. Hammond, who signed Dylan to the label, the album features folk standards, plus two original compositions, "Talkin' New York" and "Song to Woody".
Bob Dylan's first album was released in 1962. His most recent studio album as of this writing was Triplicate from 2017. In between were 34 studio albums, 13 live albums, and dozens of boxed sets of unreleased material, soundtrack albums and many more. Even the most hardcore Dylan fan will admit that the quality of these recordings varies considerably. Dylan has said as much himself.
Launched in the fall of 1975, Bob Dylan’s Rolling Thunder Revue flouted the touring conventions of the time by featuring an eclectic cast of characters and playing small and unusual venues with little advance notice.

Bob Dylan Live 1975: The Rolling Thunder Revue: Hard Rain captured this tour at the tail end when the participants were exhausted, burned-out and disillusioned. This album by contrast, is at the start of the tour and it absolutely smokes from start to finish. Definitive versions of 'Tonight I'll Be Staying Here With You, The Lonesome Death Of Hattie Carroll, Isis, and Hurricane. Also a wonderfully droll moment when the band is about to launch into 'Oh Sister', somebody shouts out 'do a protest song!' and Dylan retorts 'here's one for ya' and.
Live 1966 "The Royal Albert Hall Concert" The Bootleg Series Vol. 4. "Please retry". I am pretty much done with my Dylan albums. The only ones I don't have is Self Portrait, (which I won't get because Bob did this album just to get rid of his fans & he hardly wrote any songs in it) and Knocked Out Loaded and Under the Red Sky (maybe a little later I'll get these last two) and maybe a couple of live ones I still. Now I want to look up and listen and honor Bruce Hornsby a little.
