Suicidal Tendencies continued to evolve with their 1992 release The Art of Rebellion. Fresh off a tour with Queensrÿche, Mike Muir and company took note of the progressive metal band’s way with dynamics, alternate song structures, and vocals. The Art of Rebellion is distinctly Suicidal, although at times it sounds totally different from the albums that preceded it. It has more of a '90s feel in the funky, grinding grooves of Tap into the Power, Which Way to Free?," and Where’s the Truth. These songs were so ahead of their time that they'd still sound fresh when the Ozzfest.

レクション (Collection) is a compilation album released on Valbergé Recordings featuring a collection of Suicidal Tendencies recordings from their years at Epic Records. The CD-only release was packaged in a 3D folding Digipak. Unusual for a best-of compilation album, コレクション (Collection) features only eight tracks totalling over 40 minutes in length. Like Prime Cuts and Playlist, one of Suicidal Tendencies' biggest hits, "I'll Hate You Better", is not included on this compilation album.

The Art of Rebellion is the sixth studio album by American crossover thrash band Suicidal Tendencies, released in 1992 on Epic Records. It was the only Suicidal Tendencies album to be recorded without an official drummer; the drum tracks were handled by Josh Freese, filling in for the departed .

In short, Suicidal created another masterpiece, and The Art of Rebellion was, like Lights. no fluke at all. It may have been diverse and almost unlike Suicidal to create this, but they did so and did it well. The fond memories of Suicidal Tendencies’ thrash era seemed to have ended at the release of this album, or at least that was what many of their core fans came to believe when they heard the introduction of a host of non-Metal influences to the band’s sound. Essentially one has to decide whether to judge this based on the context of the time it came out in, or in a general sense based on the band’s past and that of the style they belong to.

The Art of Rebellion falls in the last genre I listed, alternative metal. As many Suicidal fans say, this is the band's Black album (reffering to Metallica's 1991 controversial album). It was their most successful commercially and most fans liked it even though it was pretty different from the group's past work. Released in 1992, The Art of Rebellion.
