Ovidiu Lipan 'Țăndărică' (born January 31, 1953, in Iași) is a Romanian drummer. He played between 1966 and 1975 with the Romanian rock band Roșu și Negru. In 1975 he joined Transsylvania Phoenix. In 1977 he settled in Germany, but after 1990 he moved back to Romania. Now he has solo projects and also plays with Pasarea Rock. His 2007 album Iskender, a collaboration with Stelu Enache and Gheorghe Zamfir, featured reinterpretations of traditional Macedonian songs.

In 1969 he joined the folk band "Rosu si negru". Then in 1974 he started his collaboration with the band Phoenix, of wich he is still a member. He left Romania in 1977, along with his band mates, establishing himself in Germany. After 1990 he returns and develops his own projects in parallel with the band activity.

Ovidiu (Romanian pronunciation:, historical name: Canara, Turkish: Kanara) is a town situated a few kilometres north of Constanţa in the Constanţa County, south-eastern Romania. Ovidiu Lipan started his musical career at 9 years, with his own group - Cristal (6), followed by a collaboration with The Dragons. At 14, he was considered an outstanding instrumentalist and in 1969 he participated at the Pop-Rock Music Festival, where he won the first prize with Roșu Și Negru. In 1970 he settled in Bucharest, where he had the opportunity to work with brand names such as Richard Oschanitzky, Peter Werthaimer, Marius Șeicu, Radu Goldiș. In 1974 Ovidiu Lipan joined Phoenix (23). He left Romania in 1977, along with his band mates, establishing himself in Germany
