All in the Mind is the sole studio album by American house music act the Bucketheads, released in August 1995 by Big Beat Records in the United States and shortly after by Positiva Records in the United Kingdom. Unimpressed with what he perceived to be fellow producers copying his characteristic style, producer Kenny "Dope" Gonzales launched the Bucketheads as a stylistic detour to explore influences such as disco, hip hop and Latin music, hoping to throw his audience a 'curveball'

There was a short period of time in the very early 90s when there was a bunch of these "hypno-house" records released. Like it was a mini genre. Some sampled actual hypnosis LPs intended for therapeutic use (Orbital - Deeper), some sampled movies with deep hypnotic speeches (like the excellent Finitribe - Hypnopaedia), others did their own vocals, like on this release.

No Stoppin is a certified house banger with, classic rave break sample, rave pads, and an awesome piano line.

I asked Victor Simonelli about the production of this record, specifically the vocal, in relation to the release C'hantal - The Realm: This above release ["The Realm"] was kind of a copy of "Ease The Pressure" by Subliminal Aurra. My Sister Francesca Simonelli wrote all the verse lyrics for "Ease The Pressure." Friend named Mariana from Baltimore is who did the spoken word on "Ease The Pressure" , (reading the lyrics that my sister Fran wrote). This Label that "The Realm was released on (Power traxx) , was owned by Friend Dennis Pino in Bklyn.. He and all who were part of making "The Realm" liked "Ease The Pressure" very much and wanted to kind of do their own take on it... The Male Vocals on "Ease The Pressure" are Ralphie Dee. Ralphie Dee is one of the Writers of "The Realm", so You can see the further connection. Anthony Manino is also a writer on "The Realm" .. All are long time friends. This came out at a time when KLF and Orb were very popular. "Ease The Pressure" was engineered by Tommy Musto. Dennis , who owned the label that "The Realm" was released on, also had a record store in Bklyn named Timeless (Going from memory). He had a little studio in the record store, and that studio was one of the first studio's I ever interned for :) I met Lenny Dee at this Store/Studio, in the mid 80's, and "Ease The Pressure" was tune that Lenny Dee and I produced together.

A few random comments:Is it techno? trance? house? progressive house? "ambient" something-or-other? All, some, or none of the above? I file it under progressive house now, but at the time, wouldn't have been able to file it under anything at all...I would've been too busy playing it!Heavily sampled in the Hypnotic Trance, Ambient, and State of Mind mixes of "Ease the Pressure" is "The Dream is Always the Same" by Tangerine Dream, from the Risky Business soundtrack. On the Fourth Floor release, the placement of the slash in "Hypnotic/Trance Ambient Mix" is probably a typo. It should be "Hypnotic Trance/Ambient Mix", matching the way it is split into separate titles on the XL Recordings release.

An absolute classic. Totally trance inducing. This goes against the vein of later XL hardcore in that it is genuine "original" techno/house music and it is a truly mind-expanding collection of tracks. AWESOME

Great exemple of Nu Groove style ambient music. The guys, also known as part of Brooklyn Funk Essential released records for R&S and Nu groove and many more, and in this particular case, offered a great mix of early 90 Techno-house and Deep Ambient house. A gem.

Extremely deep track that gets you in a rythmic & deep trance... very soothing vocals, that calms as well as hypnotize: "E-Ease the pressure... your mind, your body, your soul....."
