The Blue Sky Boys in Concert, 1964 captures a reunion concert that Bill and Earl Bolick gave at the University of Illinois. The show was designed to be a mini-history of the group's career, since it was the first time the duo performed outside of the South. Consequently, the show features most of their biggest hits and functions as an excellent retrospective and introduction to their music, in addition to being a delight for dedicated fans, since the group sounds as good as they ever have.

The Blue Sky Boys were an American country music duo consisting of the brothers Earl Bolick (November 16, 1919 – April 19, 1998) and Bill Bolick (October 28, 1917 – March 13, 2008), whose careers spanned over forty years. The brothers were born and raised in East Hickory, North Carolina, as the fourth and fifth siblings in a family of six children. Their parents, who were deeply religious and belonging to the "First Church of God", taught them to sing hymns and gospel music.

It took a bit of coaxing by folklorist Archie Green, but the Bolick brothers agreed, however reluctantly, to perform this reunion concert at the University of Illinois's Lincoln Hall on October 17, 1964. The Blue Sky Boys (BSB) are the forrunners of the Louvin Bros. and at least as good. The BSB were not in the bluegrass format. They had no banjo and often no bass.

Beach Boys Concert is the first live album by American rock band the Beach Boys, released on October 19, 1964. It is their seventh album in all, and their third alone in the same year. It was their first chart-topping album in the US, as well as the first live album to top pop music record charts, maintaining its position for four weeks during a sixty-two-week chart stay, and becoming another gold seller.
