Party Music is the fourth studio album by American hip hop group The Coup. It was originally released on 75 Ark on November 6, 2001. It was re-released on Epitaph Records in 2004. The original cover of the album, created in June 2001 depicted Boots Riley and Pam the Funkstress destroying the twin towers of the World Trade Center using what appeared to be a detonator. The apparent detonator was actually an electronic tuner

MGMT, ‘Oracular Spectacular’. King’s first album for the Stax label combines his hard, unflashy guitar playing with the sleek sound of the label’s house band, Booker T. and the MG’s. Hits such as Crosscut Saw and Laundromat Blues earned King a new rock & roll audience. Built around the proto power ballad Beth, this is a ridiculously over-the-top party-rock album that just gets better with age. Listen here.

The best party songs of all time in one mega dance songs playlist. All killer, no filler – let's dance. For her ‘Back to Black’ album, producer Mark Ronson teamed Winehouse with Brooklyn funk musicians The Dap-Kings, resulting in songs that are as groovy as they are dark. Going back a few years, do you remember that local dance hall with the three piece band that always played the songs you knew so well? Yes, a little corny perhaps but the melody was always there and you just had to sing along while you danced.
There are three girls in Sydneytown - Dot Thomas, Joy Riley and Donna Tokoly who are recreating this scene with their three piece band wherever they play and this album displays this excitement of the recording that took place during one of their many one night stand engagements. Dot, Joy and Donna have been together for fifteen years and during that time have established themselves as a group that plays the right sounds for the dancer, the right time for the dancer and with this treatment given to old favourites like Five Foot Two, Heart of My Heart, I'll Get By, etc., why wouldn't this be a great party record?
We can assure it is, so invite a girls band to your next party - you'll be glad you did.
