Boots is the debut studio album by Nancy Sinatra, released on Reprise Records in 1966. Arranged and conducted by Billy Strange, the album was produced by Lee Hazlewood. It peaked at number 5 on the Billboard 200 chart. It includes "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'", which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart and the UK Singles Chart. Boots at MusicBrainz (list of releases).

I listened to all of Nancy Sinatra's records when I was a lad mainly to irritate my mother, who had all of Frank Sinatra's records. Of course, now I know I was missing out the opportunity to enjoy her as the queen of the go-go boots, but, as I said, I was but a lad and as time went by it was her duets with Lee Hazlewood that impressed me the most. If that last point resonates with you, then this "Greatest Hits of Nancy Sinatra" album is the one CD you want to track down if but one Nancy Sinatra CD is what you want to have in your music library

Records like Nancy Sinatra, which take a pop icon, surround her with current admirers for collaborators, and hope for a sound both modern and classic, are quite often disasters and almost never live up to even the most grudging of high hopes. Well, thanks to this (and Loretta Lynn's Van Lear Rose), you can toss that theory out the window, because Nancy Sinatra is a resounding success. Sinatra was never a great singer; she got by on her boots, Lee Hazlewood's songs, and Frank. Believe it or not, her vocals are one of the strong points here.
