Dublin dwelling Italian Lerosa makes a fine addition to the still blossoming Apartment Records imprint with No Mad Rush, a diverse four track saunter through deep house finesse. With a discography that has graced revered imprints such as Further, Uzuri, Millions of Moments and Quintessentials there's a certain expectation that comes with a Lerosa release and this 12" adds credence to Apartment being a label that promises much

Lerosa - Amanatto Leopoldo Rosa is an Italian expatriate living in that notorious cradle for house music. OK, so the city may not rate on most people's radar, but it has fostered the work of Chymera and Donnacha Costello among others. The city's D1 imprint also released Rosa's debut back in 2005, entitled Maike. Now it's Uzuri's turn. With three 12-inches already completed for the London label, it was the logical choice for the 39 year-old's debut album.

Lerosa - No Mad Rush Since his debut release back in 2005 on the D1 imprint, Lerosa, an Italian native calling Ireland home, has crafted some wide-ranging releases on a number of labels. His consistently varied work has seen him explore the edges of house and acid-flecked techno and on this No Mad Rush EP for fledgling Dublin label Apartment Records, Lerosa explores those acid tendencies with interesting and entertaining results. The spacious "Combat" feels like a gentle enough introduction to proceedings.

Rush is the debut studio album by Canadian rock band Rush, released on March 1, 1974 by the band's own label Moon Records in Canada and by Mercury Records in the United States and internationally. Their first release shows much of the hard rock sound typical of many of the popular rock bands emerging earlier in the decade. Rush were fans of such bands as Led Zeppelin and Cream, and these influences can be heard in most of the songs on the album.

Leo Rosa is primarily known for his sensuous deep house nowadays, but he has form as an electro producer - check his work for D1 - and 'Rush' reveals this side to his musical character. Combat' is a deep, breaking affair, its mysterious synths unfolding over tumbling 808s, while the brilliantly reflective 'Decisions' follows a similar trajectory.
