Scumbag Philosopher (formerly the hilariously titled Fuck Dress) do like to keep things simple it seems. The duo behind the wonderfully titled 'God is Dead so I Listen to Radiohead grumble their way through this slab of dirty avant-garde rock without really doing anything that catches the ear. Or at least it seemed after the first listen. Stick this on in the background while doing the dishes and all you’ll hear is a simple drumbeat backed up by a dribbling vocal and a guitar riff that would make Hendrix turn.
1God Is Dead So I Listen To Radiohead.
God is Dead" (German: „Gott ist tot ; also known as the Death of God) is a widely quoted statement by German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche. Nietzsche used the phrase in a figurative sense, to express the idea that the Enlightenment had "killed" the possibility of belief in God or any gods having ever existed. However proponents of the strongest form of the Death of God theology have used the phrase in a literal sense, meaning that the Christian God who existed at one point, has ceased to exist.

Dead Air Space (Official Radiohead site). Citizen Insane (all things Radiohead). CmonTakeTheStairs's Youtube (interview archive). That album resurrected everything within me that at one point loved Sufjan more than Radiohead. To me, it's his best work and, to this day, it still gets better with each listen. This is precisely what I'm expecting to happen when LP9 finally arrives. 2. Modest Mouse: This is the only other band that I hold on the same level as Radiohead and Sufjan. Radiohead is really the only band I'm really super in love with. Other than Radiohead, I listen various Rock, Top 40/ Pop, EDM, Jazz, Classical, Alternative and Metal artists. I don't like any of them enough to consider them my favourites. I grew up listening to Led Zeppelin, Rush, Pink Floyd, Tool, Brand New, Jimmy Eat World and Minus The Bear and at one point I would definitely say these bands were my favourite.
OK, Radiohead is a no-go. What kind of stuff are you guys rocking at the WBC? Well, I listen to Radiohead. Ya do? Of course I do. At some level you have to be able to separate the art from the artist. Everybody’s got to do that. We’re music lovers at the church. I listen to Radiohead, Audioslave, Band of Skulls. I listen to lots of good stuff. And I think OK Computer was one of those records. BUT from a moral perspective, I couldn’t disagree with them more. They mock the standards of God in every one of their lyrics. What do you think of their recent output? Just because you break new ground doesn’t mean that it is good ground.
