Judas Priest is the definitive heavy metal band, determined to keep the metal banner flying high. They have never conformed to a popular style, and have been bashing out metal anthems for over 20 years. After the departure of vocalist Rob Halford, the Priest enlisted Tim "Ripper" Owens to fill the slot. The resulting album was JUGULATOR; this live recording from that tour is a powerhouse of metal dynamite. MELTDOWN covers the entire Priest spectrum, from "Diamonds & Rust" to "Electric Eye" to "Blood Stained.

Notes

"All tracks from 'Meltdown' were recorded on the '98 Jugulator World Tour. These particular versions were selected as much for the audience participation as for the band's performance. The only edits are where we have blended the different audiences together between songs in order to recreate the atmosphere of a non-stop Priest concert rather than subject everyone to continual fade-in and fade-outs from different shows. Be there with us - enjoy and join in - the Priest is back!"

Includes a promotional style review by Jason Arnopp from Kerrang! magazine.

Recorded with The Manor Mobile (engineer: Will Shapland) and on Adat Digital recording equipment.

Mixed at Silvermere Sound.
Mastered at the Town House with Tim Burrell.
