It must be one of the most unlikely collaborations in electronic music, but producer Luke Vibert's collaboration with pedal steel master . Cole actually turns out alright, though the fusion is not quite as surprising as it originally sounded. On most tracks, Cole's shimmering, fluid guitar lines are simply assimilated into Vibert's kitchen-sink production style, and the results don't sound vastly different than Vibert's last full-length, Tally Ho! (recorded under his Wagon Christ pseudonym)

Cole grew up in Enfield, attending Chase Side primary school and Chace secondary school for boys. He became interested in music in his teens, his first major inspiration being The Shadows. Cole initially learned to play guitar, but became disillusioned with the instrument, conscious of the number of talented guitarists that were already active on the music scene. A similar theme runs through Cole’s Trouble in Paradise (Cooking Vinyl, 2004).

Definitely a great one. If you like any of Luke Viberts stuff you will love this one. I think it's even better knowing all the instruments on here aren't samples.

You know 5p4c3b0y I would have to agree! I actually saw them both live perform material from this album. They opened for µ-ziq I think. That was my first listen. I was standing there going now this is different and purchased that album. Looking back I always liked most of what Luke Vibert creates but this album has been a unique departure that I have come to like more with time.
