It Doesn't Matter is the debut album by The Underdog Project, released in Germany on 20 November 2000 on Radikal Records. The album combines a variety of music styles like R&B, 2-step beats and reggae; there are also ballads and a cappella tracks included. The album received a lot of attention in Germany; it was later released in the United States on 24 July 2001. It Doesn't Matter released a total of three singles: "Summer Jam", "Tonight" and "I Can't Handle It".

As Alan’s Album Archives wrote: ‘It Doesn’t Matter At All’ is one of the album highlights. A late choice as a second single, it died a death which is a great shame because while perhaps not as inventive or original as some of the band’s best biggest hits it features one of their loveliest melodies. A sort of ‘I’m Not In Love’ from the other perspective, this is someone deep in love trying to get his loved one to admit that she is too and that it’s the rest of the world who should be ignorant of their love.

There's a subtle tragedy underlining the tonal changes in Slow Club's output that, if anything, benefits the record greatly. Initially, Watson and Taylor released two twee folk/indie albums, Yeah, So? and Paradise, marking a time when both songwriters were more or less in synch. One Day finds the duo at a point in their lives where working together is becoming more of a strain, if only because they lead different lives in different parts of the . It turns out Matthew E. White - and his studio in Richmond, Virginia - was the glue needed to bring them together, allowing them to forget the individual directions pulling at them and instead bring both sets of ideas before the in-house band for a cohesive compromise.

It Doesn't Matter Anymore" is a pop ballad written by Paul Anka and recorded by Buddy Holly in 1958. The song reached number 13 as a posthumous hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in early 1959, shortly after Holly was killed in a plane crash on February 3, 1959. The single was a two-sided hit, backed with "Raining in My Heart". It Doesn't Matter Anymore" was Holly's last US Top 20 hit and featured the orchestral backing of Dick Jacobs.
