David Bowie is the self-titled debut studio album by English musician David Bowie, released on 1 June 1967, on Deram Records. Its style and content bears little overt resemblance to the type of music that he was later known for, such as the folk rock influenced "Space Oddity" or the glam rock of The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars.

But most strikingly, while the Prince subway takeover was cool, it was essentially advertising; this is a much more far-reaching project that acts as an extension of David Bowie Is, which has travelled the globe since 2013 and is making its final stop in New York. Exactly - the idea was to create a tribute, not an ad.

Now, New Yorkers have the chance to acquire subway cards with David Bowie’s face on them, as Brooklyn Vegan points out. Check them out below.

Not even close to a soundboard. Correct lineage is: Master Reels @ full track mono>Tandberg Model 11>Wavelab 96/24 1ch mono>wav 44.1/16 2ch mono>flac. This recording was shared via JEMS on a torrent tracker. Obviously some people never listened to a real mixer recording, hence the funny discussions. Well, some people still prefer analog boards for mixing, by the wayAlthough for a Bowie bootleg the quality is really exceptional being a strong "very good" audience.

Note that there is some debate out there on the internet as to whether this is an actual soundboard recording. While not 100% convinced the reviewer has erred towards the sound board camp. The reasoning being that while the sound is not as clear as more contemporary sound board stuff one has to remember that in those days all the electronics were analogue and not the digital of today. Therefore, this probably accounts for the difference. If you factor this in and compare it to other boots of the day that were recorded from the audience then I think that is fair to say its a sound board. Overall great sound.
