All the way to New York I can feel the distance getting close You're right next to me But I need an airplane I can feel the distance as you breathe Sometimes I think you want me to touch you How can I when you build the great wall around you In your eyes I saw the future Together you just look. away in the distance.

Tori Amos is an American pianist and singer-songwriter whose musical career began in 1980, at the age of seventeen, when she and her brother co-wrote the song "Baltimore". The song was selected as the winning song in a contest for the Baltimore Orioles and was recorded and pressed locally as a 7" single

China is an alright song, but Flying Dutchman and Sugar are masterpieces in their own right. 2 people found this helpful. The China single, which has become a Tori Amos rarity, contains 4 tracks: 1) China (album version), 2) Sugar, 3) Flying Dutchman, and 4) Humpty Dumpty. Tracks 3 and 4 I have found on plenty of other CDs in my collection, but track 2, the studio version of Sugar, is rather rare.

Notes

CD in card sleeve.

Sleeve mistakenly identifies 'Flying Dutchman' as 'édit' when it is actually the full length version, and also incorrectly spells 'Cindy Palmano' as 'Cindy Palamo'.
