Redgum also covered Australian consumer influences on surrounding nations in 1984's "I've Been To Bali Too", both hit singles were written by Schumann. The Diamantina Drover", written by Timms' replacement, violinist/vocalist Hugh McDonald and "Poor Ned", written by Trevor Lucas of Fairport Convention, are examples of their bush songs. Everything's Legal, Anything Goes - Redgum's Greatest (1985). The Very Best of Redgum (1987). Against the Grain (2004).

Redgum released one more album of new material, Midnight Sun (1986), and a last single "Roll it on Robbie" (1987) after which Atkinson left. There were plans to release another album but this didn't occur. The album was recorded at Warrenwood in Melbourne but never released due to the studio going into liquidation The remaining members who recorded this album Hugh McDonald, Verity Truman, Michael Spicer, James Spicer and Tim Hannaford performed until 1990, when the band's considerable debts were cleared. There were plans to release another album but this did not occur.

Only 19", "I Was Only 19" or "A Walk in the Light Green" is the most widely recognised song by Australian folk group Redgum. The song was released in March 1983 as a single, which hit number one on the national Kent Music Report Singles Chart for two weeks. It was also recorded for Redgum's live album Caught in the Act (Epic Records) released in June, which stayed in the top 40 of the Kent Music Report Albums Chart for four months

Redgum Audio RGCD5 CD Player. Redgum Audio, the innovative company from Australia that makes the RGi120 integrated amplifier I like so much, has gone and done something that’s taken me quite by surprise. It’s a slick design that pictures don’t really do justice to - up close it looks a whole lot nicer. According to Robinson, the way to give customers the greatest value (and keep the price down) is to give them the cheapest transport mechanism and put more effort elsewhere. A side benefit of this is that the RGCD5 becomes user serviceable should it fail some years down the road. I’ve seen CD-player transport mechanisms fail long before the other inner or outer workings.

Their biggest hit had been "I Was Only 19", a protest song against the futility in Vietnam. These sort of songs also brought them to the attention of ASIO (Australian Security Intelligence Organisation) and so it is little wonder that John Schumann should find another topic to write a song about. How did Garrett fuck the theory that this song ended Redgum's career ? HE SOLD OUT joined the enemy. In any case he was a Green who were unwittingly working for those who want us culled.

I Was Only Nineteen - Redgum. This is probably the saddest song I have heard, and possibly will ever hear. was only 19 was only nineteen .And what’s this rash that comes and goes, can you tell me what it means? God help me - I was only nineteen. A four week operation, when each step can mean your last one on two legs; it was a war within yourself.
