This release fits comfortably in the Frontiers Records wheelhouse. A few of the songs, such as Blind the Sky and State of the Heart sound like they were originally written for a Jorn Lande project, which is a decent reference point for categorizing the vibe of this album. There’s much to like about this record if that’s your thing. If you liked tracks like Death Alley Driver by Rainbow with Turner at the helm, you’ll probably enjoy more than half of this album. To be honest, I expected to like The Road to Hell less than I do, and I’m glad for that. There’s no real big surprises or left turns.

The Road to Hell" is a two-part song written by Chris Rea and released on the album of the same name. It was released as a single, with only part 2 on the A-side of the 7". The single was his biggest success in the United Kingdom, peaking at number 10 on the UK Singles Chart. The song was inspired by the frustrations of M25, M4 motorway and Zvolen-Šahy motorway (in Slovakia) peak-hour traffic.
The title only hints at the horror that lurks in this album's message. Texas," "Looking for a Rainbow," and "You Must Be Evil" pick apart the atrocities of our society, while "Daytona" offers some much-needed tension release. A modern masterpiece.
