Electrafixion were an alternative rock band, formed by former Echo & the Bunnymen members Ian McCulloch and Will Sergeant in 1994, joined by bass guitarist Leon de Sylva and drummer Tony McGuigan. They released one album, Burned, and four singles and EPs before splitting up in 1996, due to the reformation of the Bunnymen.

This song is by Electrafixion and appears on the album Burned (1995). Can you be the oneTo help me understand myself? The one and only oneIs it you and no one else? Can you shoot for thingsThat others only dream about? Can you light the fireWhen all my flames are dying out? Can you be the one?Can you be the one?Can you be the one?Can you be the one? Tell me about my lifeTell me about my worldTell me about your lifeTell me about your world.

Zephyr," the short-lived Electrafixion's first single, introduced an entirely new side to the swooning McCulloch - there's more of an edge and the snarling vocals are a bit harsh for the typical Bunnymen fan. Bunnymen guitarist Will Sergeant was also a culprit in creating this new image; his charming clocked riffs are thoroughly abandoned on "Zephyr" in favor of grunting guitar plucks and grunge-filled annoyance.

This album is a bit repetitive. But it is interesting work if you are a big Echo and the Bunnymen fan as I am. I highly recommend to the collector type. 2 people found this helpful.
